Diver on Masked Singer Is Clearly Vanderpump Rules Villain Tom Sandoval, Right?
Here are all the clues that lead us to believe Sandoval is on “Masked Singer”

Is “The Masked Singer” getting Vanderpumped?
After kicking off its 10th season with a special performance by the Anonymouse, who turned out to be Demi Lovato, “The Masked Singer” shared a teaser of Diver, one of its 16 mystery celebrity singers. Based on the short clip revealed, fans think they’ve already cracked the code on who is hiding underneath that octopus-ridden helmet — none other than “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval.
The casting decision would make sense as Sandoval has been at the center of major reality TV controversy since news broke that he had cheated on his long-term partner Ariana Madix with their fellow co-star and friend Raquel Leviss. The #Scandoval went on to draw record-breaking ratings for the Bravo series, even landing the show its first Emmy nominations.

Sandoval also joined the cast of “Special Forces: Worlds Toughest Test,” another Fox series, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was slated to show off his longtime passion for music in “The Masked Singer.”

The first line in Diver’s introduction clip has a major clue, as they explain they’re usually “pretty pumped,” a choice of words presumably referencing “Vanderpump Rules,” which Sandoval has starred in since Season 1. Diver also reveals that lately he’s been “lost in the abyss,” perhaps alluding to the shift that has come to Sandoval’s life after cheating on his partner of nine years.
After news of the #Scandoval broke, the public and many of Sandoval’s co-stars turned against him. Patrons boycotted his bar Schwartz & Sandy’s, co-star James Kennedy (who is Leviss’ ex-fiance) called him a “poo-poo head” and a “worm with a mustache, and Lala Kent said he was a “dangerous human being.” So the Diver’s label of being “most hated creature in the ocean” coincides with Sandoval’s current status.
The reality star also has a talent for music, thanks to his cover band Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras. He’s always expressed his passion for music throughout his time on “Vanderpump Rules,” leading many to believe that the “Masked Singer” would be right up his alley. In a reality show that began spotlighting hot, young people working at Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR (which stands for sexy unique restaurant), it’s safe to say that fans have caught a glimpse of Sandoval partying and dancing in his years on the show. Going off the fact that he’s also still performing with his band, many of Diver’s moves resemble that of Sandoval.
Diver offered a picture of a cardinal as the final clue to their identity. It again points to Sandoval, who is originally from St. Louis, Mo., which is home to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Watch the teaser below. The Diver will be revealed on “The Masked Singer” on Sept. 27.
